Vrbenské ponds are a nature reserve in the outskirts of České Budějovice with many forest paths which are great for cycling or a walk.
From Mrhal to Vrbenské ponds you can get by car or by bicycle. If you choose cycling, we recommend going through Hlincová Hora to Dobrá Voda and then continuing on bicycle path 1096 to Malše river, along it you have to go to its confluence with Vltava, along its left bank you have to continue to artificial channel České Vrbné. Here you turn left and ride through České Vrbné behind it you have to cross road E55 and in front of you will open a bird heaven
This cycling trip is longer than other which we told you about but there are almost no hills so it will not be more demanding than other trips.
