This museum will lead you to ages when in the vicinity of the town silver was mined. There were there long stoles where miners with primitive equipement were breaking the rock. There are exhibits which picture the age of renessance when silver was being mined in Rudolfov the most. Except necessary equipement you can also see miners uniforms.
There is a legend about leperchaunts in these mines. They held protective hand over miners for a long time and could not watch their drudgery so they shown them the biggest treasure in these mines. Miners took just a little bit of the treasure. After that the kings soldiers found out, killed them and robbed them. I was at this moment that the mines closed for ever
